Back in the day, when I received my first video enabled BlackBerry smartphone I was able to upload a movie file that was up to 5-minutes in length and I used to regularly do that until I had the urge to somewhat produce my videos with editing software at which point sending the clip over the air was unimportant.

For some reason, now that all I see are overly produced “home” videos, I thought I’d experiment with live images. Since my device isn’t compatible with QIK or any of the other live streaming services I’m limited to my upload limits which in my case is around 20-seconds at full resolution. Boo.

This of course lead me to experiment with MMS quality images which I presumed would be simply too poor to be useful but luckily I was insightful enough to try. As you may have guessed by now, this point is a final step in testing the viability of doing MMS based video blogging. I am limited to a 1-minute video but in many ways this has advantages over a live stream in that it forces me to think about what I want to say and deliver it in a fairly concise manner as to not totally bore you!

Wow, who’d have thought season 2 of The Daily Minute would be here before I’m even ready to launch PaulMonaco.tv! I really did have every intention of getting things rolling a whole lot faster but hey, you know how that goes.

A whole lot has happened between the start of this site and it’s (eventual) re-invention. But rather than keeping you waiting, I’ll kick start my changes with a peek at what’s happening on The Daily Minute.
